NCP Secretariat takes responsibility to deal with remaining unification issues

Kathmandu  The Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Secretariat has owned up the responsibility of completing the remaining works in relation to the organizational unification at the bottom level. 

A meeting of the Secretariat took place today at the Prime Minister's official residence at Baluwatar thanked the taskforce formed to deal with the matter for its works so far, deciding to take the responsibility of remaining works itself, according to party Spokesperson Narayankaji Shrestha. 

The December 28 (2018) NCP Standing Committee meeting formed a nine-member task force coordinated by Secretariat member Ram Bahadur Thapa to handle the issues . The task force was assigned to submit the report mid January, but presented an incomplete report on February 18. 

The then CPN (UML) and CPN (Maoist Centre) on May 17 last year decided to merge to form the present NCP, but unification at the district-level structures and class organisations is yet to be happened. 

So far, under the class organisation, those related to contractors, legal practitioners and engineers have been merged. It was announced that the unification as a whole would complete by the next three months of the party unification, but the process is getting longer, thus postponing the National Campaign said to be organised in this and next month in a bid to make the unification more stronger.
