Kathmandu, 17 Dec – Nepal has clinched the title of ACC U-16 Eastern Regional Cricket Tournament.
Nepal won the title by defeating Singapore by 71 runs in the final match held at Terdthai Cricket Ground in Thailand today.
Choose to bat first after winning the toss, Nepal posted a victory target of 184 runs before Singapore. Nepal made 183 runs at the loss of six wickets in the scheduled 35 overs. Bishal Bikram KC was the highest scorer for Nepal with 63 runs.
Similarly, Narayan Joshi scored 46 runs while Subas Airi made 22 runs, Tutraj Das and Sunil Bhandari collected 19 runs and 15 runs respectively.
In reply, Singapore scored only 112 runs at the loss of all wickets in 31.1 overs.
For Nepal, Surya Tamang and Ajay Kumar Luniya took three wickets each.
