kathmandu: Employees of some offices under the Province 7 government have not got their salary and incentives, thus getting their festive mood stolen.
Employees at various 12 offices including the Forest Division Office and Skill Enhancement Training Centre have been deprived of payment when the rest of the country is overwhelmed with the Dashain festive mood.
One of the employees said they found no way but to borrowing money to manage the Dashain expense.
Information Officer at the Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment at the province, Keshab Parajuli, admitted that employees of 12 offices under the province government were deprived of timely payment due to a delay in granting authority.
“But we trying to sort out the problem”, he maintained. As he said, a certain process has to be completed to pay employees.
Following the allocation of budget by the Finance Ministry in the federal level to the Ministry of Economic Affairs in the province, the latter shall grant the authority to the Province Treasury Controller Office for the payment to employees.
