kathmandu: A person was killed in a truck accident occurred this morning at Binayitribeni rural municipality of Nawalparasi along the East-West Highway.
The deceased has been identified as Dhan Bahadur Magar, 20, of Dhodheni of Gaindakot.
The accident happened while a truck (Ga 1 Kha 4167) en route to Pokhara from Bhairahawa hit another truck (Na 1 Kha 141) parked for maintenance.
Magar was an assistant to the driver of the second vehicle and he breathed his last in course of treatment at the Bharatpur Hospital.
Driver Basanta Bhujel, 27, of Dhodeni is undergoing treatment at the same hospital, the Nawalparasi District Police Office said.
