Organizational unification to be concluded after SC meeting: Spokesperson Shrestha

Kaski : Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Spokesperson Narayankaji Shrestha has stated that the party unification at lower committees and sister organizations would be completed after the ongoing meeting of the NCP Standing Committee. 

At a meeting between leaders and cadres of NCP held at NCP's Gandaki Province Committee at Pokhara today, Spokesperson Shrestha reiterated that the party unification process would be concluded at organizational level following the meeting. 

The then CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Centre) were united on May 17 this year to form Nepal Communist Party. 

Spokesperson Shrestha admitted the delay in the unification process that although it was agreed to complete at all levels by three months. Seven months have elapsed since the official merger between the two leftist parties. 

Shrestha shared that the ongoing Standing Committee meeting would be a departure point for preparing the base for the merger between the sister organizations of the both parties, approving the province committees declared by the NCP Secretariat, merger between the district committees and lower committees. 

Furthermore, he was confident that the SC meeting would lay foundation for determining the roles and responsibilities of central members and to form a strong, powerful and revolutionary party. 

Reaffirming of his party's commitment to make the incumbent government become successful, Shrestha argued, "Public have a huge expectation from this government which is the most powerful in the history. If the government fails, not only Prime Minister and Ministers would fail but it would also affect the Patry and the country." 

Also speaking at the meeting, Gandaki Province Committee Secretary Govinda Nepali said that it was difficult to hold party's activities without the merger between the two parties at organizational level.
