State 3 minister for internal affairs and law, Shalikram Jamarkattel has highlighted the need of collective efforts among the three-tier government to make federalism successful. In his address to an orientation programme for legal facilitators appointed by the state government for local levels here today, the minister instructed them to cooperative with local levels as the state government representatives while carrying out assigned duties.
In the programme was attended by 57 legal facilitators, 57 deputy mayors/ vice chairs of local governments and deputy chiefs of district coordination committees from several seven districts, the minister complained that most local governments had not responded emails sent by the state government, urging them not to do so.
According to him, strengthened cooperation among the governments at three levels is necessary to make the present form of governance successful. He sought the role of local levels to ensure effective enforcements of laws and acts issued by the state government. He went on to say the appointments of legal facilitators were for easing works execution of local governments, urging later to properly utilise given human resources.
State chief attorney Om Thapaliya claimed that judicial committees at the local levels had contributed to bringing harmony in the society.
