Ideological unity is a must in party: CM Gurung

Kathmandu : Chief Minister of Gandaki state and Gandaki state in-charge of Nepal Communist Party, Prithvi Subba Gurung, has pointed out the need of ideological unity within the party after its unification.

At a cadres meeting organised by NCP Galkot Town Committee, Baglung, Chief Minister Gurung said, "The unification between the then CPN (UML) and CPN (Maoist Centre) has significant contribution to bring prosperity in the Country." Saying he would take possible initiative for the development of Galkot area, he expressed the view that positive step should be taken from today itself in order to develop Galkot bazaar area as the smart city.

The Chief Minister said that it was necessary to utilize means and resources, available in the country, and culture for economic transformation, stressing on technical education for poverty alleviation.

He urged the party cadres to take initiative from local levels for the prosperity, adding that it was necessary to make big contribution by communists for prosperity. Chief Minister Gurung expressed the belief that Kaligandaki corridor and Mid-hills Pushpalal highway would contribute to the economic development of Gandaki state.
